Roosters is Closed? WTF?

We're sorry, but it's true. On June 15th, during a routine liquor license renewal meeting, councilwoman Sharon Richardson led a pack of nay-sayers to Rooster's demise. Although Rooster's was the only bar at that location to never have ANY liquor infractions or noise complaints, it was denied it's liquor license renewal. That is the first in over 50 years. Rooster's management was also strongly criticized for it's late sales tax payments late last summer during the worst part of the economic season in one of the worst demographics in Adams county. All fines were paid and sales tax accountant Jeri Freiberger stated that Rooster's never had a another problem until it's closure. Police Officers from Federal Heights also testified that Roosters had a good working relationship with local cops and felt the established was well managed. Mayor Joyce Thomas and esteemed councilmembers Pat Willett and Dick Hutchinson fought for Roosters, but were outvoted 4-3. Roosters closed it's doors 1 hour after the meeting. We just wish we would have been notified of the procedings rather than a cheap, tasteless sucker punch.

Former Mayor and Councilman lashes out

Dale Sparks, former mayor and current councilman for Federal Heights, lashed out with certain other city councilmen against Roosters for poor moral character. Sparks made headlines in 2006 while employed at Bare Essence all nude strip club when it was raided for prostitution. Sparks stated he knew nothing of the prostitutes behavior while he was a doorman. We agree with him since we have seen first hand, his ability to function with these exemplary skills.

Roosters Fairwell Party

We will be planning a fairwell party in the near future for Rooster's fans and customers. One idea so far is to have a dunk tank for certain members of the city council. We could raise money to turn Roosters into a free mental health facility. We all know that Federal Heights doesn't have one.
